BKR International is ranked in the Top 20 of all worldwide accounting associations.

In terms of global associations, BKR has been placed by the International Accounting Bulletin in the Top 6, and Lince Salisbury is proud to be an independent member firm of such a prestigious association.

The BKR name came from the initials of three of its founding member firms and was formed in 1989 as the result of a merger between a US-based group and members of a European group.BKR International member firms are selected for their local influence, expertise and international capability. Member firms not only adhere to their local regulatory accreditation, but also meet higher global standards of ethical and professional excellence.

As a member of the BKR EMEA region, Lince Salisbury have access to a number of resources at both regional level and worldwide.

Sharing resources and information to enhance and expand our services, Lince Salisbury is part of a global team that has access to wide ranging financial and tax expertise.

As a member firm, the Principals of Lince Salisbury attend an annual EMEA regional conference, in addition to regular Tax and Audit meetings, and other sub-regional meetings.

There are also annual worldwide BKR conferences held in October each one in a different location. New York was the location to celebrate BKR’s 20th anniversary.  These annual conferences are always very well attended and prove to be extremely successful events. They provide the opportunity for all members to meet and attend a number of social activities as well as participating in very constructive and informative seminars and lectures on current international issues. Other conferences, have been held Rome, and Las Vegas. Our EMEA regional conferences, are held in May. More recently events have been in Prague, Malta and Dublin. BKR have also recently enhanced their technical offering where they provide regular updates of, for example, IFRS and provide other regular services.

BKR is, itself, a member of EGIAN (European Group of International Accounting Networks and Associations: www.egian.eu). Member firms learn a lot from this forum regarding common technical and legislative issues, and this is then applied not only to Europe but to the BKR association worldwide. EGIAN also enables BKR to have an input in developing common positions on specific technical and legislative issues and to debate these issues with key professional stakeholders and regulators such as The European Union, CESR (The Committee of European Securities Regulators), FEE (The Federation of European Accountants) and IFAC (The International Federation of Accountants).

Lince Salisbury meet frequently with other BKR member firms within the British Isles Group (“BIG”) to discuss industry updates and working practices.
