Cecilia Nyamutsaka

Hello, I'm Cecilia and I'm the Audit Executive Director here at Lince Salisbury.

I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in South Africa and am also registered with the ICAEW, and I have spent my career in audit on both sides of that move.

I lead our statutory audits for captive insurance companies and Guernsey fiduciary businesses, along with the audits we carry out for companies that need one for shareholder or lender reasons rather than because the law requires it.

Most of my work sits where the accounting standards meet the regulatory requirements, so I spend a lot of my time on IFRS 17 and UK GAAP and on the regulatory reporting that has to stand up alongside the financial statements. Captive insurance in particular rewards an auditor who understands the sector rather than one who arrives with a checklist.

I also lead our internal audit reviews and our wider compliance-based assurance work, which for a lot of clients has become every bit as important as the year-end audit itself.

What I enjoy most is finishing an audit and knowing the board understands their own numbers better than they did when we started.
